Our wine bar has very old roots: records date it back to at least 1895, and ever since it has been the keeper of an authentic corner of Rome. On the façade, the famous climbing vine frames Via Panisperna, painting the face of the neighbourhood green season after season.

Inside, early 20th-century paintings on wood — the work of artists known for decorating the churches of the neighbourhood — tell of a past made of skilled hands and popular devotion. Barbara and Adriano chose to preserve this heritage without changing its character, keeping the soul of the wine bar alive.

The atmosphere is warm and informal: from jazz to traditional Roman stornelli, the music keeps our guests company like an old friend. Here Romans and locals from the neighbourhood mingle with visitors from all over the world, all looking for the same thing: the true taste of Rome, served in a glass.
